Play Sessions for Dogs in Mallorca
Positive and balanced interactions between dogs can develop particularly well when they are given the chance to get to know each other in a stable and controlled environment.
During the Play Sessions, we therefore give the dogs time to first observe each other calmly before gradually making contact. I keep an eye on the group dynamics, the dogs’ body language and on maintaining a healthy balance between play and deliberate breaks.
At the same time, you can observe your own dog and get to know them better: How do they invite other dogs to play? When do they need a break? Where do they set boundaries, and how do they respond to the boundaries of other dogs?
How the Play Session Works
At the beginning, all dogs remain on lead and we start with a short walk together of around 10 to 15 minutes. This gives the dogs a chance to settle into the group in a controlled way and allows us to get a first impression of the overall mood.
Afterwards, we begin with the first shared play phase. If a dog initially prefers a little more distance or still feels overwhelmed by the situation, they can of course stay on the sidelines for as long as needed and take their time getting used to the group.
After the first play phase, we take a deliberate break. Depending on the dogs’ energy levels, we can then have another play phase or go for another short walk together.
A Play Session therefore doesn’t mean 60 minutes of uninterrupted off-lead play. Breaks, observation and calming down together are just as much a part of it.
Keeping the Group Comfortable for Everyone
The Play Sessions are generally intended for dogs that are comfortable around other dogs and able to interact with them safely.
If a dog becomes clearly overwhelmed during the session, repeatedly pressures other dogs or becomes too disruptive, I will take them out of the play and give them a break. We will then look at the situation individually and decide whether and when it makes sense for them to join the play again.
If we only realise once we are there that free play isn’t currently suitable for your dog, you can still stay with the group. We can use the situation to observe from a distance, practise settling and help your dog experience the presence of other dogs in a positive way.
Dogs with a known history of serious bite incidents or clearly aggressive behaviour towards other dogs are not suitable for the Play Sessions. In this case, we should start with individual training first.
Requirements for Participation
Valid liability insurance for your dog is required to take part. Each owner remains responsible for handling and supervising their dog throughout the entire Play Session.
Please also cancel at short notice if your dog is unwell, shows symptoms of a contagious illness or if you have noticed fleas, mites or another contagious parasite infestation. The other dogs will thank you.
Female dogs in heat should not attend during this time. Their scent can strongly attract the attention of the other dogs and create an unnecessarily one-sided group dynamic.
Play Is Communication
During the Play Session, I observe the dogs and am happy to explain what is happening between them. Not every chase automatically means play, and not every growl automatically means there is a problem.
Together, we look at how dogs set boundaries, invite others to play, ask for breaks or show that a situation is becoming too much for them.
The session should therefore not only be fun for your dog, but also help you better understand their social behaviour and body language.

Monthly Pass: €100
Because the composition and dynamics of the group play an important role, advance registration is required.
Is This Your First Time Joining?
To keep the group safe and enjoyable for every dog, I would like to get to know your dog briefly before their first Play Session. Before booking, please send me a few words about your dog, their age, size and how they behave around other dogs. You’re also very welcome to book a Free Meet & Greet Call for this.
Together, we’ll see whether the current group is a good fit for your dog.
If your dog has already taken part in one of my Play Sessions and we haven’t agreed otherwise, you can book further sessions directly.
Monthly Pass: 4 sessions within one calendar month. When booking, you are scheduled for four Play Sessions within that calendar month. If any of these dates don’t work for you, please contact me before booking. If it is organisationally possible, we can arrange an alternative solution in individual cases. However, there is no entitlement to this.
