Group Training in Mallorca
In group training, we work together on selected topics while making use of one major advantage of the group setting: distractions are part of the training from the very beginning.
Your dog may already be able to do many things well during private training, but everything can suddenly feel very different when other dogs and people are training nearby. We can use exactly these situations to strengthen cues and make them more reliable step by step.
During the exercises, the dogs initially stay with their own people while we work together in a focused way. I show you each training step, we put it into practice together straight away and adapt it to the individual human-dog teams whenever needed.
What Do We Train in the Group?
The topics can vary and range from classic basics such as sit, down, stay, leave it and recall to loose-leash walking, impulse control and orientation towards you.
We can also dedicate individual sessions to specific topics – for example retrieving, object searches, calmness training, little tricks or everyday situations that become more challenging around distractions.
This keeps group training varied and gives you exercises you can continue practising and strengthening at home and in everyday life.
Even if your dog already has a good grasp of the basics, group training can still be valuable. You may want to train specifically around distractions, strengthen cues in the presence of other dogs or simply work regularly in a social training environment.
At the same time, the group gives you the opportunity to meet other human-dog teams in Mallorca, connect with others and enjoy being active together with your dog. Especially if you’re new to Mallorca or would like regular contact with other dog owners, group training can offer something enjoyable beyond the training itself.
You don’t need to come with a particular “problem” – more advanced teams are just as welcome and can increase the level of difficulty individually.
Everyone Trains at Their Own Pace
Our group training is not a competition.
One human-dog team may need a little longer for a particular training step, while another is ready to move on – and that is completely fine.
I demonstrate the exercises as often as needed and support each team individually with putting them into practice. If you already feel confident with a particular step, you can increase the level of difficulty or try another variation.
The goal isn’t for every dog to be able to do exactly the same thing by the end of the session. What matters is that every team takes something useful away from the session and continues progressing from their own individual training level.
