Online Group Training
Each Online Group Training session focuses on one specific training topic, so you already know before booking what we’ll be working on together.
This isn’t about simply watching from the sidelines. You’ll learn how to build the training step by step, put it into practice yourself and have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from the experiences of the other participants.
Most topics are divided into Part 1 and Part 2, leaving enough time between explanation, your own training, repetition and the next training step.
One Topic – Two Parts
As a rule, our online groups meet twice for each topic.
In Part 1, we look at how the training is structured, which steps build on each other and what you should pay attention to. Put simply, we first translate the training from human to dog.
You’ll then have time to try the first steps directly with your dog in front of the camera. Nothing needs to work perfectly at this stage. What matters most is that you understand the training process and know how to continue practising independently afterwards.
I observe how you put the steps into practice and give feedback wherever the process could become a little clearer. We also discuss which situations you can continue training in and how to gradually increase the level of difficulty.
In Part 2, we look at what has already been working well since then and where you may still be getting stuck. We work through common difficulties and questions from the group together – and often several participants benefit from the same solution.
We then move on to the next step in the training process. If you already feel confident with the foundations, you can increase the difficulty or try an additional challenge.
Part 2 therefore combines repetition, problem-solving and the next stage of training.
If you would like to work more intensively on a particular topic, you can also arrange an Online 1:1 session. For a short review or a focused follow-up, a 30-minute online session can also be arranged by agreement. These appointments are not regularly available in the booking calendar and are arranged individually.
Train With Your Own Dog, a Guest Dog – or No Dog at All
You’re of course always welcome to take part in Online Group Training with your own dog. You’re equally welcome if you regularly spend time with a guest dog or a dog belonging to friends, family or neighbours, look after dogs or work with dogs that aren’t your own.
You can also participate without a dog. Perhaps you’d like to learn more about dog training before bringing a dog into your life, or you regularly work with dogs and would like to expand your knowledge and training skills.
What matters most is that you understand the individual training steps and can put them into practice independently later on. And if you really want to try out a particular movement or handling sequence straight away, even a stuffed toy on a lead will do in a pinch.
Naturally, not everyone in the group needs to progress at the same pace. The goal isn’t for every dog to be able to do exactly the same thing by the end, but for you to understand how to continue working from your own current training level.
Questions, Camera & Fairness
Questions are absolutely welcome. Online Group Training isn’t a lecture that you simply sit and listen to. There is time during the session for questions, trying things out together and receiving feedback.
I’m happy if you can keep your camera on whenever possible – especially during the practical exercises, as it helps me see how you’re putting the training into practice. But if you would rather try an exercise without the camera at first, your dog needs a break or you can only listen for a while, that is completely fine too. You can switch your camera off whenever you need to.
A booked place is intended for one actively participating human-dog team.
Places in Online Group Training are intended for one human-dog team each. If you would like to join together with friends and several dogs, and several people want to train actively, ask questions and receive feedback, please book the corresponding number of places. This ensures that the available training and feedback time remains fairly distributed among all participants.
The Right Environment for Your Training
For Part 1, a calm and familiar environment is ideal – for example, your home or garden. This allows you to focus on the explanations and then try the new training steps with your dog without unnecessary distractions.
You can of course still join while travelling, on holiday or even from a campsite. The important thing is simply that you’re able to concentrate properly on the training.
In Part 2, you can already adapt the environment to your current training level. If the foundations are working well, you can increase the difficulty by choosing a slightly more varied environment. If you still need support with the first steps, a low-distraction environment is usually the better choice.
If you specifically want to work in an environment where a particular problem occurs, an Online 1:1 session is usually the better option. That allows us to focus entirely on your individual situation.
And if your dog needs a break during the group session, you can of course continue listening and then carry on training at your own pace afterwards.

The individual calls last approximately 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the training topic and the amount of time needed for questions.
There is usually around one week between Part 1 and Part 2, giving you enough time to practise what you’ve learned independently with your dog.
The online groups are currently still being developed. The first topics, dates and times will be published here as well as on my social media channels.
